With a brief to achieve a like for like replacement, Harrisons attended site to meet with the client, survey and review the fixings before making recommendations. The poles were manufactured in Darlington to the requirements of the client and the mounting bracketry designed with consideration for the existing structure.Installation within this conservation area was achieved using a platform access method.

Challenges

To replace and install a "like for like" pair of 7 metre 45 degree angled wall bracket flagpoles to the existing fabric of the listed buildings in St Helen's Place.

Our Solution

The flagpoles were manufactured in our factory to an extra heavy duty specification based on their length and the steel work designed around the existing structure of the building. Using an access platform for installation the poles were secured to the stone sill by the angled bracket and supported with stainless steel stays.
