Big team, historically important site, complicated access, time constraints.

Our Solution

The Architects approached us with the brief, and following site visits and a survey, we were commissioned to replace the summit flagpole in the historically important Victorian park. We overcame potentially difficult access to the site by using our specialist machinery and technical expertise. The design and installation of the flagpole was completed on time, on budget and met all expectations from a very large team that included the building contractor, engineering and environmental consultants, and Aberdeen City Council. Aberdeen City Council facility manager Alan Findlay said of the park, “Its historical significance has led to its inclusion in Historic Scotland's Inventory of Designed Landscapes and Gardens and the restoration and reconstruction of some of the lost features will be inspired by old written and photographic sources." © Photograph: Copyright Colin Smith and licensed for reuse under this Creative Commons Licence
